About the Mission:
Patriot Guard Riders has been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Leonard P. Bochynski, formerly of Batavia, NY, who passed away on 26 July 2022.
Mr. Bochynski served our nation for 2 years on active duty in the US Army Armor Branch from 1952-1954, with an Army MOS of 1745-Light Weapons Infantryman. He had 18 months of foreign service in Germany, assigned to Headquarters & Headquarters Company, 6th Armored Cavalry Regiment, US Army Europe. Mr. Bochynski was honorably discharged from active duty on 16 October 1954 with the rank of Corporal (E-4), and he earned the Army Occupation Medal (Germany), National Defense Service Medal, and Cold War Service Medal.
Mr. Bochynski went on to honorably serve and retire as a NYS Trooper with 21 years of law enforcement service.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
PGRNY will stage with a respectful flag line for arrival of the family, expected at approx. 9:30 AM. KSU at 10:15 AM for the escort to WNY National Cemetery,1254 Indian Falls Road, Corfu, NY 14036 for the 11:00 AM interment with Military Honors. Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are unable to participate in the escort from Batavia, please consider staging by 10:30 AM with your flag at the Cemetery entrance for arrival of the cortege, then proceed to the burial shelter.
