About the Mission:
The family of Kevin J. Heinzerling has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Kevin, 60, passed on March 11 2024.
Born in Rochester, NY Kevin was a graduate of Byron-Bergen Central School. After high school, he served his country in the United States Marines Corps between 1980 and 1985. He was trained as a Machine Gunner (MOS 0331) and was involved in Operation Urgent Fury in Grenada in 1983. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal, and for his service, was awarded the following citations and awards; Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation, USMC Good Conduct Medal, USMC Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. Kevin later served in the USAF Reserves.
After his military service, Kevin started his career in law enforcement as a correctional officer. Later in his career he found joy in working for Miller’s Mill Works Inc.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Members will stand a respectfull flag line for arrival of family and guests. There will be a brief ceremony with military honors. Please dress for the weather.
