About the Mission:
Patriot Guard Riders of NY has been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Kenneth E. Adams of Lancaster, NY, who passed away on 18 July 2022.
Mr. Adams served our nation for 3 years on active duty in the US Army from 1977-1980, with an Army MOS of 36K10-Tactical Wire Operator. He had 14 months of foreign service with Battery-A, 6th Battalion, 37th Field Artillery Regiment, Eighth US Army at the Korea DMZ. Mr. Adams was honorably discharged from active duty on 15 October 1980, and he earned the Cold War Service Medal, Army Rifle Marksman Badge, and Army Hand Grenade Expert Badge.
Mr. Adams was a member of Lt. Col. Matt W. Urban VFW & AMVETS Post 7275 in Lancaster, NY.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Mr. Adams donated his body to the University of Buffalo, and it could be up to 2 years before his cremains will be available for interment at the WNY National Cemetery. The family has requested PGRNY participation in the Celebration of Life of Kenneth Adams, which is scheduled from 2:00 - 5:00 PM. PGR will provide a respectful flag line for arrival of the family and guests. PGR will make the Plaque presentation at approx. 2:30 PM, after which the official Mission will end. Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American flag and dress for the weather.
