About the Mission:

The family of Joseph J. "Joe" Alfieri has asked Patriot Guard Riders to participate in honoring his service to America and celebrate his life. Mr. Alfieri passed 15 April 2024 at the age of 94.

Mr. Alfieri is a US Army, Korean War veteran who served one year, nine months from 1951-1953, and was honorably discharged at the rank of Private First Class on 28 May 1953. Of that time, he spent one year, two months in Korea, assigned to the 194th Engineer Combat Battalion, with the Eighth Army.  For his service, Mr. Alfieri earned: National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal w/ 2 Service Stars (Two Campaigns), and the United Nations Service Medal - Korea.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

PGR members will form a flag line for arriving family and mourners at 10:15am. We will hold the flag line until services begin at 11:00am. Following services, PGR members will participate in rendering military honors at the funeral home.

Please come prepared with a clean US or US Army flag and dress for the weather. The current forecast is for cloudy with a chance of rain and a high in the low 60s.
