About the Mission:
The family of John M. Washington has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Washington passed 4 October 2024 at the age of 81.
He entered the Army on 31 October 1966, and served our nation honorably for 1 year and 10 months, including a tour of duty as Infantry Operations Specialist with the 1st Infantry Division in Vietnam. For gallantry in action against opposing armed forces, Mr. Washington was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Mr. Washington was a Patriot Guard Riders member. His interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.

Members will stand flag line for arriving family and friends and dignified transfer. After mass of Christian Burial will be military honors and plaque presentation. Make sure your flags are presentable. Do what you can to stand for Mr. Washington.
