About the Mission:
The family of John J. Travis has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. John passed on 20 February 2025 at the age of 81 with family at his side.
John entered the US Air Force on 12 August 1962, at the age of 19. After basic training, he was sent to Lackland Air Force Base, Texas to train as a Sentry Dog Handler, Air Policeman. John served his nation for 4 years on active duty, with a 12 month tour of duty in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged on 12 October 1966 at Travis Air Force Base, Fairfield, California, with his reserve obligations ending on 14 August 1968. For his service John was awarded; Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device.

Members will stand flag line for arriving family and guests. At 6:30 pm, military honors will be conducted. Do what you can to support Vietnam Veteran John J. Travis and his loving family.
