Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Updated 8 March 2022

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

PGR Members will stage at 2:30 pm and form a flag line at approximately 2:45 pm for the arrival of the family (expected at 3:00 pm).  Once the family has arrived, I expect the flag line will be disbanded until 3:45pm. At 3:45 pm, the flag line will reform for the arrival of mourners for calling hours. Calling hours are expected to run from 4:00pm - 7:00pm. However, the calling hours could be extended due to large crowds.

At the end of calling hours, PGR Members will go inside the funeral home to render honors with the Lake Shore Fire Department's final call for Mr. Carmel. We will follow the Lake Shore Fire Department's salute and final call for Mr. Carmel with our own final salute as a group. The mission will be complete following the final salute. There is no escort or cemetery stage for this mission.

Parking is expected to be tight. Please follow instructions on-site to leave as much room for mourners as possible. Watch for updates to this post specifically around parking.  Please come prepared with a clean US or Army flag. Dress for the weather, current forecast is for temperatures in the 80s and a low chance of showers. Bring your own water.

Thank you for taking time to help honor the US Army, firefighting, and community service of John H. Carmel, and to support his loving family.

Is there a Second Stage to this Mission?
