About the Mission:

The family of John Glenn Swartzenberg has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services.  John passed on Wednesday, April 15, 2024.

John was a US Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran who served from December 4, 1968 to June 26, 1970.  He was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal, and for his service, was awarded a Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm and Frame and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device.

John was a member of the Hamlin Fire Department, Holley Hell Hounds Marine Corps League, lifetime member of the Hamlin VFW, and longtime member of Grace Church of the Nazarene. He had a passion for fishing and hunting and loved the outdoors.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

Family & friends will be arriving at the funeral home by 10:00 am. Procession departing to White Haven @ 10:30, for an 11:00 interment.
