About the Mission:
The family of Jimmy L. Stanton has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Stanton passed away on 1 August 2023.
Mr. Stanton served our nation for 1 year, 8 months on active duty in the US Army Adjutant Generals Corps from 1970-1972, with an Army MOS of 71H20-Personnel Specialist. He had 14 months of foreign service in Europe, assigned to the 1st Infantry Division Forward. Mr. Stanton was honorably discharged from active duty on 5 June 1972 with the rank of Specialist Four (E-4), and he earned the National Defense Service Medal and M-16 Rifle Sharpshooter Qualification Badge.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
PGR will stand by with a respectful flag line for arrival of the family and funeral director, expected at approx. 12:15 PM. KSU at 12:35 PM for the escort to WNY National Cemetery for the 1:00 PM Committal Service with Military Honors.
Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
