About the Mission:

The family of US Army Vietnam Veteran James G. Wagner has requested that Patriot Guard Riders honor the life and military service of this American hero. James, 75, passed on 16 January 2024.

James served on active duty in the Army between 5 April 1968 and 6 January 1970, including a tour of duty assigned to the 299th Engineering Battalion in Dak To, Central Highlands, Vietnam, and was awarded a Purple Heart for wounds received.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

Patriot Guard Riders members will assemble at the church 09:00. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am, followed by escort to St. John Lutheran Cemetery, 2131 Woodard Rd., Elma 14059.  Please bring a clean American or US Army flag and dress for the weather.
