About the Mission:

Patriot Guard Riders of NY has been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Henry E. Michelson of Lockport, NY, who passed away on 4 July 2022.

Mr. Michelson served our nation for a total of 10 years on active duty during 2 enlistments from 1952 -1962 in the US Air Force. His Air Force Specialty was 56550- Heating Specialist. He had a total of 30 months of foreign service during the 2 enlistments, including duty in Alaska & Greenland. Mr. Michelson was honorably discharged from active duty on 4 December 1962 wit the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-5), and he earned the following awards: Air Force Good Conduct Medal w/2 Oak Leaf Clusters
(3 Awards); National Defense Service Medal; Air Force Longevity Service Award w/1Oak Leaf Cluster (2 Awards); and Cold War Service Medal.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

This is a graveside service with Military & PGR Honors. There is no escort involved.  PGR will standby with a respectful flag line for the arrival of the family and friends.  The graveside service is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM.  Please arrive prepared with a clean 3x5 American or USAF flag and dress for the weather.
