About the Mission:

The family of Korean War Veteran Gordon B. Kidder of Conesus, NY has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Kidder passed away on 15 June 2023 at the age of 91.

Mr. Kidder served our nation for 2 years on active duty in the US Army Infantry from 1952-1954. He had 18 months of foreign service, including in South Korea, and his most significant duty assignment was with Headquarters Battery, 15th Antiaircraft Artillery (Automatic Weapons) Battalion (SP). Mr. Kidder as honorably discharged from active duty on 30 November 1954 with the rank of Corporal (E-4), and he earned the following awards: Army Good Conduct Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Korean Service Medal; United Nations Service Medal (Korea); and Korean War Service Medal.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

PGR will stand a respectful flag line for arrival of the family, and during calling hours from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. The Memorial Service is scheduled for 12:00 PM, followed by Military Honors at the funeral home. There is no cemetery or escort involved in this Mission.

Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, and dress for the weather.
