About the Mission:
The family of George Turner has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his funeral service and recognition of his service to our nation. Mr Turner passed away peacefully on April 14 2024 at the age of 88. Mr Turner was born in Mineola NY, and served in the US Coast Guard between 1954 and 1962. He served as a Damage Controlman 3rd class until his reserve obligations ended. Mr Turner served at several Coast Guard stations in the Northeast, from Maine to Cleveland, Ohio. He also enjoyed riding his bike from coast to coast with his wife.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Members will form a flag line for arriving family and friends. At 3:00 pm, members will participate in military honors. There is no cemetery involvement.
