| About the Mission: | The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of WWII Veteran Edwin J. Williamson of Orchard Park, NY, who passed away on 2 June 2022 at the age of 95. Mr. Williamson served our nation for 1 year, 8 months on active duty in the US Army from 1945-1946, with 2 Army MOS's: 521-Basic Infantry and 641-Lineman. He had 12 months of foreign service in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater of Operations, assigned the the 5th Special Services Company. Mr. Williamson was honorably discharged from active duty on 3 December 1946 with the rank of Private First Class, and he earned the following awards: Army Good Conduct Medal; Expert Infantry Badge; Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal; Army of Occupation Medal-Japan; and the WW-II Victory Medal. Mr. Williamson was a member of the American Legion Post #567 in Orchard Park, NY. A full obituary is available for viewing online by clicking here |

Updated 8 March 2022Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters. |
| Special Information: | PGR will provide a respectful flag line for arrival of the family and guests. The funeral service is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM. Following the service and dignified transfer, PGR will provide an escort to Hillcrest Cemetery, 5223 Abbott Road, Hamburg, NY 14075 for interment with Military Honors.
