About the Mission:
The family of WWII Army Veteran Edgar Vernon Taylor has requested PGR participation in honoring his life and service to our country. He attained the rank of Tech 5 and served with Company C, 1863rd Engineers Aviation Battalion. He served from 1943-1946. He was awarded the American Theater Ribbon,Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon,Victory Medal and a Good Conduct Medal.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
There will be a wake at 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service. After the service and a dignified transfer, PGR will escort the family and our hero to Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1990 Main St., Buffalo, NY for interment with military honors. Please arrive with an American or US Army flag and dress for the weather.
