| About the Mission: | The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Vietnam War Veteran Dennis J. Baudhuin of Pembroke, NY, who passed away on 17 February 2022. Mr. Baudhuin served our nation for 2-1/2 years on active duty in the US Army from 1969-1972, with an MOS of 73C20-Pay & Disbursement Specialist. He served for 12 months of foreign service in South Vietnam from January 1970 - January 1971, and his final duty assignment was with the 15th Finance Company, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, TX. Mr. Baudhuin was honorably discharged from active duty on 16 February 1972 with the rank of Specialist 5th Class (E-5), and he earned the following awards: Army Commendation Medal w/1 Oak Leaf Cluster (2 Awards); National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal w/3 Bronze Service Stars; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; and Army Rifle Sharpshooter Qualification Badge. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters. |
| Special Information: | PGR will stage with a respectful flag line for arrival of the family. KSU at 10:30 AM to escort to the WNY National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Road, Corfu, NY 14036 for the 11:00 AM Interment with Military Honors. Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached. Thank you for taking time to help honor the US Army Vietnam War service of Dennis J. Baudhuin, and to support his loving family. |
