About the Mission:

The family of David Dascomb has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors and funeral service. Mr. Dascomb of Cheektowaga, NY, passed on April 18, 2024 at the age of 77.

Mr. Dascomb served our nation for 3 years in the US Army from 1966 to 1969 as a Stock Account Clerk (MOS 76P20), incuding 11 months and 25 days in Vietnam.  he was honorably discharged on September 12 1969, and for his service was awarded National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Two Overseas Service Bars, Sharpshooters Badge (M-14) and Marksman Badge (M-16).

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Updated 8 March 2022

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

Members will stage at funeral home. After a short prayer at funeral home for our hero, and dignified transfer, members will escort our hero and family to Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 4125 Union Road, Buffalo, NY 14225 for Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will take place on Monday, April 29, 2024.  Please see details following. Do what you can to support this loving family and make sure your flags are secure.

Second Stage - Special Information:

Members will form flag line for arrival of our hero and family. Members will escort Mr. Dascomb and family to Western New York National Cemetery for Honors and interment. Make sure your flags are securely attached.
