About the Mission:
The family of Vietnam War Veteran David A. Wagner has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Wagner passed away on 30 July 2023.
Mr. Wagner served our nation for 1 year, 8 months on active duty in the US Army Transportation Corps from 1967-1968, with an Army MOS of 64B20-Heavy Vehicle Driver. He served a 12-month deployment to South Vietnam, assigned to the 592nd Transportation Company, 24th Transportation Battalion. Mr. Wagner was honorably discharged from active duty on 10 September 1968 with the rank of Specialist Four (E-4), and he earned the following awards: National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; 2 Overseas Service Bars; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; and M-14 Rifle Sharpshooter Qualification Badge.
The family did not publish an obituary.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Please stage at the Main Office.
PGR will stand by with a respectful flag line for arrival of the family, then will escort the family a short distance to the gravesite. The graveside service and Military Honors is scheduled for 10:00 AM. Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, and dress for the weather.
Thank you for taking time to help honor the US Army Vietnam War service of David A. Wagner, and to support his loving family. The daughter of Mr. Wagner has conveyed that the presence of the PGR means the world to them.
PLEASE NOTE: This Mission conflicts with the one in Batavia-Corfu...please do your best to ensure both Missions are adequately covered.
