About the Mission:

Patriot Guard Riders has been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Daniel L. Mast, who passed away on 23 October 2022.

Mr. Mast served our nation for 12 months on active duty in the US Army Signal Corps from 1946-1947, with an Army MOS of 070-Draftsman. He had 6 months of foreign service in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater in Japan, assigned to the 71st Signal Service Battalion. Mr. Mast was honorably discharged from active duty on 28 April 1947 with the rank of Private First Class, and he earned the Army of Occupation Medal (Japan), WW-II Victory Medal, M1 Rifle Marksman Qualification Badge, and WW-II Honorable Discharge Pin.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

PGR will provide a respectful flag line for the arrival of the family and guests.  A short funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 Noon.  Following the service and dignified transfer, PGR will provide an escort to WNY National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Road, Corfu, NY 14036 for interment with Military Honors at 1:00 PM.  Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
