About the Mission:

The family of Retired US Air Force Master Sergeant Daniel D. Grabski has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. MSgt Grabski passed away suddenly on 6 June 2023 at the young age of 49.

MSgt Grabski was a veteran of the Persian Gulf War Era and the Global War on Terrorism, serving a total of 21-1/2 years of active duty in the US Air Force from 1995-2016.
His Air Force Specialty was 4N071-Aerospace Medic. He had a 6-month GWoT deployment, and he received his honorable retirement effective 31 August 2016 at Air Mobility Command, Joint Base San Antonio, Randolph, Texas. MSgt Grabski earned the followign awards during his USAF career: Joint Service Commendation Medal; Air Force Commendation Medal (2 Awards); Air Force Achievement Medal; Air Force Outstanding Unit Award Ribbon (5 Awards); Air Force Organizational Excellence Award; Air Force Good Conduct Medal (7 Awards); National Defense Service Medal (2 Awards); Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Nuclear Deterrence Operations Service Medal; Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon (5 Awards); Air Force NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon (2 Awards); and Air Force Training Ribbon.

Per the Buszka Funeral Home obituary, Mr. Grabski was a former Fire Fighter and EMT with the Union Fire Company, West Seneca, NY.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

PGR will stand with a respectful flag line for arrival of the family and friends. A Memorial Service and PGR honors is scheduled for 2:00 PM. (Note in the obituary that MSgt Grabski was buried with Military Honors on 20 June 2023 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.)

Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or USAF flag, and dress for the weather.
