About the Mission:

The family of Dale J. Cummings, US Navy veteran, has requested the presence of Patriot Guard Riders at his funeral services. Mr. Cummings passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at age 69.

Mr. Cummings served from 1971 - 1977 and earned the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class. He served during the Vietnam Era, but was stationed stateside and worked as an airplane mechanic. After his military service he went to work in the civilian world on classified projects for the space program. He most recently was working with the team that looks to launch the Artemis rocket later this month.

Dale was a Harley rider and worked with, and became close friends with, our current member Bill Centola.  Please join me in providing a honorable flag line for his funeral on Monday the 7th of November.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Staging at the funeral home for escort to St. John The Evangelist Church, 55 Martha St., Spencerport, NY 14559. Members will stand a flag line for the dignified transfer at the church prior to the service, and also after the service as guests and family depart.

Please bring a clean 3 x 5 American flag, and if you have a US Navy flag, that would be welcome as well.
