About the Mission:
The family of US Army Korean War Veteran Curtis J. Ahrens, Sr. has requested that Patriot Guard Riders honor his life and service to our country. Mr.Ahrens passed on Feb.15 2023 at the age of 92 yrs.
Mr. Ahrens served in the United States Army from 1952-1953 and served 12 months in Korea assigned to the Army 919th Engineer Aviation Maintenance Co. as a Wheeled Vehicle Repairman. For his service, he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal W/2 Bronze Service Stars, United Nations Service Medal (Korea), Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, Cold War Service Medal, and the Army Honorable Service Commemorative Medal.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
PGR will stand an honorable silent flagline for the arrival of the family and guests for an 11:00 am funeral service. After a dignified transfer, PGR will escort our hero and his family to Lakeside Cemetery, 4810 Camp Rd., Hamburg, New York for interment with military honors. Please arrive on time with an American or US Army flag.
