About the Mission:
The family of Clair T. Ryan of Geneseo, NY, has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Ryan passed away on 23 April 2023.
Full military service details are pending, but we know that Mr. Ryan served a total of 10 years in the US Army and Army National Guard from 1949-1959. He was called up for active duty for 2 years from 1953-1955, including 14 months of foreign service in the Korean DMZ, assigned to Delta Company, 34th Infantry Regiment. Mr. Ryan achieved the rank of Sergeant First Class (E-6), and he earned the Army Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
PGR will provide a respectful flag line for arrival of the family and guests. The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM. Following Mass and the dignified transfer, PGR will escort to St. Mary's Cemetery, 4807 Crossett Rd, Geneseo, NY 14454 for interment with Military Honors. Click here for map
