About the Mission:

The family of Charles G. Haffner has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his interment and military honors at Western New York National Cemetery. Born in Buffalo N.Y Mr. Haffner passed on January 20, 2024, at the age of 84. Mr. Haffner was a first responder with the Big Tree Fire Dept in Hamburg, NY and a proud Marine serving our country from 1957 to 1960. Mr, Haffner was a Jet Engine Mechanic with the Viking Marine Attack Squadron at Cherry Point, North Carolina, and was honorably discharged for his service, earned a Good Conduct Medal.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

Members will form a flag line for our hero and his family. Arriving at Western New York National Cemetery between 12:15 and 12:30 for honors at 1:00 pm. Make sure your flags are secure for the escort to the cemetery.
