About the Mission:

The family of Carmen Tomasi has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services.  Carmen, 80, passed suddenly on October 15, 2022.

Born in Buffalo, New York, Carmen grew up on the city's west side, where he relished his Italian heritage, especially his mother's cooking. Carmen would later join the U.S Air Force as a Corpsman, where he served at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey.  He was honorably discharged at the rank of Airman 2nd Class (E-3).

Carmen coached his son's basketball team when he was younger and also coached wheelchair basketball for the handicapped. He was regarded as a good teacher, kind, intelligent, always willing to share his talents, and was a father figure to many. Bowling and golf were his favorites, and he belonged to a golf league at 18 Mile Creek Course. Carmen was a retired Zone Administrator for the Western New York Trade Zone, an avid Buffalo Bills fan, and extremely knowledgeable in Sports Trivia.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

Staging with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests.  Mass of Christian Burial scheduled for 09:30 am.  There is no escort for this mission.
