About the Mission:

The family of Vietnam War Era Veteran Buddie R. Rochelle has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Rochelle of Orchard Park, NY passed away on 4 September 2023.

Mr. Rochelle served our nation for 4 years on active duty in the US Marine Corps from 1973-1977, with a Marine Corps MOS of 1391-Bulk Fuel Man. His major assignment was with 1st Bulk Fuel Company, 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Force Service Support Group (FSSG) at Camp Pendleton, CA. Mr. Rochelle was honorably discharged from active duty on 19 August 1977 with the rank of Lance Corporal (E-3), and he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Rifle Sharpshooter Badge, USMC Meritorious Mast, and Letter of Commendation.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

PGR will stage with a respectful flag line for the arrival of family and friends. The funeral service is scheduled for 9:30 AM. Following the service and dignified transfer, PGR will escort to Hillcrest Cemetery, 5223 Abbott Road, Hamburg, NY 14075 for the interment with Military Honors. Click here for map to cemetery

Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or US Marine Corps flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached. Thank you for taking time to help honor the US Marine Corps service of Buddie R. Rochelle, and to support his loving family.
