About the Mission:
The family of Cold War Veteran Brian J. Bush has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his exemplary life and service. Mr. Bush of Holland, NY passed away on 12 May 2023 at the age of 62 following a long courageous battle with health challenges.
Mr. Bush served our nation for 3 years on active duty in the US Army from 1979-1982, with an Army MOS of 63N10-M60A1/A3 Tank System Mechanic. He had a total of 2 years of foreign service (TBD) and his final assignment was with Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood,, TX. He earned the Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Service Ribbon, Rifle Expert Qualification Badge, Hand Grenade Marksman Qualification Badge, and the Cold War Service Commemorative Medal.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
PGR will provide a respectful flag for arrival of the family and friends. A remebrance service is scheduled for 11:00 AM, followed by military honors. There is no cemetery or escort involved in this mission.
Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, and dress for the weather. Thank you for devoting part of your Sunday to help honor the exemplary life and service of Brian J. Bush, and to support his loving family.
