About the Mission:
The family of Anthony P. Amigone, Sr has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Amigone passed on 7 September 2024 at the age of 92, in Florida with family by his side.
Mr. Amigone served our nation honorably during the Korean War with the Army Graves Registration Unit which was responsible for the repatriation of the Korean War fallen soldiers. In 1955, Mr. Amigone's role in Japan was to modernize embalming and funeral services in the city of Hong Kong. When he returned home in the 50s, Mr. Amigone built the first modern funeral home in his home town of Buffalo, NY. For his service to our nation, he was awarded a Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and a Republic of Korea Service Medal. Mr. Amigone was a good friend and supporter of the Patriot Guard Riders.

Special Information:
Members will stand flag line for cortege arriving at 10:15 am for Mass of Christian Burial. RC Don Becker will be there to show members where to park. Be aware this is a busy area, be safe. Do what you can to support our hero and his family. It is a fairly long mission. Bring snacks and water and take breaks when needed. After mass and dignified transfer, members will escort Mr. Amigone and family to Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 800 Pine Ridge Heritage Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY 14225 for interment with military honors.
