About the Mission:
The family of Vietnam War Veteran Allen B. McFollins has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. McFollins of Batavia, NY passed away on 20 August 2023.
Mr. McFollens served our nation for 2 years, 7 months on active duty in the US Army from 1967-1970, with an Army MOS of 31G40-Tactical Communitions Chief. He served a total of 2 years, 2 months of foreign duty with US Army Pacific, including a tour of duty in South Vietnam, assigned to Company D, 36th Engineer Battalion, 20th Engineer Brigade. Mr. McFollins was honorably discharged from active duty on 12 April 1970 with the rank of Sergeant (E-5), and he earned the following awards: Army Good Conduct Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; 2 Overseas Bars; and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
PGR will provide a respectful flag line for arrival of the family and guests. The funeral service is scheduled to begin at 10:30. Following the service and dignified transfer, PGR will provide an escort to WNY National Cemetery for the 1:00 PM Interment Ceremony and Military Honors.
If you are unable to participate in the funeral service and escort from Batavia, please stage at the Pembroke Highway Department by 12:00 PM in order to join in the escort to WNYNC.
Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
