About the Mission:
The family of Cold War Veteran Gordon L. Rowles has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Rowles of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on 30 September 2023.
Due to the fire in St. Louis in 1973, there is limited information about Mr. Rowles' military service. But we have confirmation that he served 3 years of active duty in the US Army from 1956-1959, and was honorably discharged from active duty on 16 January 1959 with the rank of Private First Class.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
PGR will provide a respectful flag line for arrival of the family, and during the visitation hours from 2:00-4:00 PM. Military & PGR honors will be rendered at 4:00 PM. There is no cemetery or escort involved in this Mission.
Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, and dress for the weather.
