Thank you from the Skubik family

Can you please forward the message below to the PGRs who stood for our Hero, Henry Skubik recently, at Massapequa Funeral Home (Jan. 20, 2018) and Calverton National Cemetery (Jan. 22 2018) on Long Island, NY.  I don't have the Ride Captain's contact information but his first name was Charlie.  Thank you in advance.

One week ago today (Jan. 22, 2018), we laid our beloved Hero to rest at Calverton National Cemetery on Long Island.  It was a dreary, dark day both in spirit and weather-wise.  But that did not deter the PGR group from showing their support and standing for our Hero during his final farewell.  I just wanted to express my family's heartfelt gratitude for all PGR did to ensure our Hero's farewell was a fitting tribute to the caliber of person he was, one who made sacrifices for our country, overcame adversity, went on to become a productive member of society, and was a shining beacon of light which touched everyone who crossed his path.  We were truly humbled by the number of proud Riders who came out to support the cause and stood for him.  We never expected anything like the loving display of honor, patriotism and sincere gratitude for his service which was shown during this mission.  We wish to thank each and every person who came out with heartfelt gratitude that helped us through the most difficult day of our lives.  The fact that you all took precious time out of your busy lives to pay such respect to our loved one and support the Skubik family is to be commended.

We will never forget all that the  Patriot Guard Riders did to Honor Cpt. Henry Skubik. The special plaque we were presented with now hangs next to our Hero's POW and Purple Heart medals.  A very special shout out to Fran (last name unknown), Mary-Ann Sweeney Barcellona and Nicole Ruggeri De Palo for also supporting the family and standing at the Memorial Service we held on Jan.20.

Again, a simple "thank you" just doesn't seem enough, but it comes from the heart.  God Bless you all.

Respectfully,
Jacky Skubik on behalf of the Skubik family

P.S., our hero "rode" too....
