To Whom It May Concern:
I would like to take a moment to thank the group of Patriot Guard Riders who paid my lunch bill on 12/20/10 at the China Buffet in Henrietta. I was seated with a friend of mine who is an active member of the military and was in his uniform. During our lunch, our waitress came over to us and we were informed that our lunch had been paid for. We were handed a hand written note which read, "Happy Holidays and thank you from the Patriot Guard Riders."
It is rare that someone thanks a police officer or a member of the military for their service but it is almost unheard of to have someone offer to pay a lunch bill. We are not allowed to accept such gratuities but your identity was unknown to us and the restaurant would not allow us to cancel your generous gift.
Please accept my thanks
A grateful police officer
