About the Mission:

This veteran honorably served his country from 1959 to 1963. He was a radioman aboard the USS Boston (CAG-1), a Boston Class Heavy Cruiser with guided missiles that did tours in the Mediterranean, Eastern Seaboard and Caribbean. He attained a rank of 3rd class during his time aboard the ship. Walter was also a long time member of Patriot Guard of NY having stood many missions. The family has requested us to stand and honor Walter for his service to this country in the US Navy and his continued service to veterans through his participation with Patriot Guard Riders.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
