About the Mission:

Colonel Richard Wokoun proudly served his country in the US Air Force for 33 years.  Richard was a pilot who flew various cargo supply missions worldwide for the Air Force Reserve unit at Floyd Bennet Field. Richard later helped establish the 106th Rescue Unit in West Hampton NY.  Colonel Wokoun was the Chief of Maintenance at the 106th after the closing of Floyd Bennet. While on active duty, 2nd Lt. Richard Wokoun served as a Personal Officer in the late 1950's. Richards family has requested Patriot Guard Riders to stand in honor of their father's life of service.
