About the Mission:

This veteran honorably served his country from November 1967 to August 1971. He went to for additional schooling to become a radioman and was assigned to the USS Schenectady (LST-1185), a Newport-class tank landing ship. He attained the rank of RM3 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. The family has asked for Patriot Guard Riders to stand and honor their loved ones' service.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

Please bring your flags for a flag line. After a dignified transfer, the escort will pass the home and then respond to a 10:45 mass at St Johns, 546 St Johns Pl., Riverhead. Members who wish can just respond to the church by 10:30am. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
