Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Updated 8 March 2022

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

Weather: Please monitor weather and dress appropriately.
Equipment:   You are encouraged to bring:  gloves and poles (the poles will enable you to carry many wreaths), hand trucks/mini wagons - I saw some volunteers at the wreath laying use little wagons to carry the boxes of wreaths and thought that was a great idea;  so, if you have such a wagon or cart, these will be a big help in removing the wreaths.  If  you have a pickup truck with an open back, this will be a big help in picking up the wreaths quickly and safely. If you want to use your car, open up the truck/hatch and help load up the wreaths. Once loaded, the trucks and/or cars will take the wreaths to the two dumpsters that will be in the main roadway. If you have any questions on the use of your vehicle feel free to reach out to me directly.
Guidance:  One of the easiest ways to recover the wreaths, if you have a large group or team, is to be in a line in a row and start at the farthest end of the row and then pass the wreaths until the end of the row and put them in a pile. These piles of wreaths will then be picked up by the members in their cars/trucks for transport to the dumpsters. The goal here is to work quickly, efficiently and safely.
