About the Mission:

The family of John T. Toal has requested Patriot Guard Riders to participate in John's funeral service. John served in the US Navy from Sept 1978 to Sept 1983 with 3 years of Sea Service. John was a Machinist's Mate Fireman (MMFN) on the USS Butte (AE-27). He earned these Medals/Ribbons: Navy "E" Ribbon, Navy Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with 3 Stars. He was a member of the American Legion. He had been employed as a correctional officer for the New York State Department of Corrections at the Greenhaven Correctional Facility in Stormville.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

We will stand a flag line for the calling hours from 4 pm to 6 pm, then stand while the US Naval Honor Guard presents military honors at 6 pm. Mission ends here. There is no escort.
