About the Mission:
The family of William H. Halpin has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. William, 59, passed on 18 February 2022.
Born in Mineola, NY, Bill moved to Broadalbin with his family in 1972 and was a 1981 graduate of Broadalbin Central School. He enlisted in the US Air Force on 15 June 1982 and was trained as an Avionics Instrument Systems Specialist (AFSC 32551). He was assigned to the 60th AMS at Travis AFB, CA where he maintained the avionics equipment on C-5 Galaxy aircraft. He was honorably discharged on 01 May 1986 at the rank of Airman 1st Class (E-3) and for his service, he was awarded the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award and the Air Force Training Ribbon.
Bill had lived in Gloversville for the past fifteen years. He was a die-hard NY Jets and Yankees fan. Bill loved listening to music, especially classic rock. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Staging at the funeral home with a dignified flag line for the last 30 minutes of visitation hours. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. followed by a dignified transfer and escort to Broadalbin-Mayfield Rural Cemetery, N. Main St., Broadalbin, NY 12025, where interment with military honors will be conducted.
