About the Mission:

The family of Sanford D. "Sandy" Doyle has invited Patriot Guard Riders to participate in his military honors funeral services.  Sanford, 56, passed on Sunday, February 12, 2023.

Born in Stamford, NY, Sandy was raised in Gilboa, and graduated Valedictorian from Gilboa-Conesville High School, class of 1984. He attended SUNY Oneonta before joining and honorably serving the US Air Force from 17 December 1985 to 16 December 1989.  He was trained as an Inventory Management Specialist (AFSC 64550), and was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant (E-4).  For his service, he was awarded the Air Force Good Conduct Medal and the Air Force Training Ribbon.

Sandy later worked as a lab technician at Mountainside Farms in Roxbury, NY for over 26 years.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

We will stage with a flag line at the beginning of the church service.  At the conclusion of services, and after the dignified transfer, members will provide an escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for a 2:00 pm service.
