About the Mission:

The family of Carlton Day has requested the participation of the Patriot Guard Riders in his military honors funeral.

Carlton was extremely proud of his service in his beloved Marine Corps. He entered service in 1968 and achieved the rank of Corporal - Specialty - Aviation Radar Repairman. He was a Vietnam War Era veteran. After his honorable discharge, he had a long and very distinguished career with the Rensselaer County Sheriffs Dept. from which he retired. His service there included being a firearms trainer and accident reconstruction expert.

"Mike" was also a factory trained Harley Davidson mechanic enabling him to build and modify his own motorcycles. Mike was also a member of the Renegade Pigs Motorcycle Club.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

9:55am - KSU from staging location.
PGR will lead the escort of the family, who will be leaving from their home near the staging location.

Escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for military honors funeral at 10:30am.
