About the Mission:

The family of Tonino "Tony" Ferracan has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Tony, 76, passed on November 29, 2022.

Born in Muro Lucano, Italy, Tony graduated from Colonie Central High School and entered the US Army on 10 December 1965. He served as a Carpenter (MOS 51B20) and spent a one year tour of duty in Vietnam. For his service, he was awarded a Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device, 2 Overseas Service Bars and a Sharpshooter Badge (M-14). He was honorably discharged on 7 December 1967 at the rank of Specialist 4th Class.

Refining his craft as a carpenter, Tony, with his brother Pat and later with his brother Joe, helped build Ferracane Brothers Builders and its related companies for 37 years. Tony enjoyed golf, bocci, and darts. He loved sharing activities with friends at the West Albany Italian Benevolent Society, and time in Florida and Italy with members of his family.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

Staging will be at the church with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests. A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:30 am, followed by escort and interment with military honors at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, 1389 Central Ave., Albany, NY.
