About the Mission:
The family of Todd C. Smeaton has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Todd, 60, of Huntersland Road, Middleburgh, NY passed away suddenly on Friday, August 12, 2022 at his home.
Todd was born in Niskayuna, NY. He graduated from Mohonasen High School and would later enlist in the US Army where he served his country for 20 years. While in the Army, Todd worked in Vehicle Maintenance during the Gulf War era along with being stationed in Kuwait and Somalia among other deployments. He also served in Special Forces before finally retiring.
Todd spent many hours “wrenching” on various projects in his mancave and in his free time, also enjoyed following NASCAR (Dale, Sr.) and the Yankees (Jeter).

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the dignified transfer. Escort to Saratoga National Cemetery to follow, with KSU at 09:30 am. Interment services scheduled for 11:30 am. Riders please ensure that your flags are securely attached as we will be traveling at highway speeds.

Second Stage - Special Information:
Interment with military honors scheduled for 11:30 am.
Note that there is a new staging protocol for Saratoga National Cemetery. PGR members will stage by parking ONLY on the right side of the roadway near Section 21. If that area is full, the overflow parking area will be on the right side of the roadway near Interment Shelter 1. Please park as closely together as possible.
