About the Mission:

Patriot Guard Riders has been requested by the family of Terry M. LeMere to participate in his military honors funeral services. Terry, 87, passed on December 22, 2022.

Terry attended high school in Lackawanna, NY, and entered the US Army on 23 February 1954.  He spent two years on active duty on assignments at Fort Dix, NJ and 14 months of overseas duty in Argentia, Newfoundland and later maintained marine diesel engines on the St. Lawrence Seaway. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Specialist 3rd Class, and for his service was awarded the US Army Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.  

Terry lived his life working on and restoring cars as a mechanic, starting at a young age in his father’s garage called “Kozy’s Service” in Buffalo, NY. This skillset turned into a lifelong and influential career as an auto mechanics teacher at Saratoga Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) for over 35 years.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

We will stage for the dignified transfer and then provide an escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for a 1:00 pm service.
