About the Mission:

Patriot Guard Riders has been requested by the family of Romildo J. "Bo" Bottari to participate in his military honors funeral services.  Romildo, 88, of South Glens Falls, passed away August 27, 2022.

Born in Albany, NY, Romildo graduated from Cathedral Academy and was inducted into the US Army on 14 July 1953.  He was trained as an Amphibious Track Motor Maintenance Sergeant (MOS 1660) and assigned to the HQ Battery, 2rd Anti-Aircraft Artillery Batallion at Fort Carson, Colorado.  He remained there until his honorable discharge on 2 June 1955 at the rank of Corporal (T), and for his service was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

After his military service, Romildo was employed by Niagara Mohawk for 40 years, belonging to its 25 Year Club and Pension Club East.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

Please stage quietly, as services will be in process, and form a flag line for the dignified transfer  We will then provide an escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for a 12:30 service.

Second Stage - Special Information:

Note that there is a new staging protocol for Saratoga National Cemetery.  PGR members will stage by parking ONLY on the right side of the roadway near Section 21.  If that area is full, the overflow parking area will be on the right side of the roadway near Interment Shelter 1.  Please park as closely together as possible.  As always, you are asked to stage quietly and respectfully.  Interment services for this mission will be conducted in Interment Shelter 1.    Please click here to view a map of the designated area
