About the Mission:
Patriot Guard Riders of NY has been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Robert A. Prince of Cheektowaga, NY, who passed away on 16 July 2022.
Mr. Prince served our nation for 3 years on active duty in the US Marine Corps from 1955-1957, with an MOS of 1833-AmTrac Crew Chief. He was assigned to Company B, 2nd AmTrac Battalion, Fleet Marine Force, Camp Lejeune, NC. He had 11 months of foreign service, including in Lebanon and several other countries. Mr. Prince was honorably discharged from active duty on 18 December 1957 with the rank of Corporal (E-4), and he earned the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
PGR will standby with a respectful flag line for arrival of the family. The graveside service with military honors is scheduled for 10:00 AM. Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or USMC flag and dress for the weather.
NOTE: Mr. Prince’s son, Tom, followed in his father’s footsteps, proudly serving in the Marines from 1989-1993.
