About the Mission:

The family of Harvey Hugh Levin has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Harvey, 89, passed on Friday, August 12, 2022.

Born in Albany, New York, Harvey was a lifelong resident of the area, except for a short stint in Derry, New Hampshire. He was a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College and an Army veteran. After being on active duty between 1953 and 1955 during the Korean War, he spent the majority of his working career in retail working for companies such as W.T. Grant, Denby’s, B. Lodge & Company and Home Depot. He always had a passion for connecting and helping people.

Harvey was a member of the Noah Lodge #754, Altamont, NY, Cyprus Shriners #5, Albany, NY and American Legion Post #1493, Voorheesville, NY. Harvey was always quick with a joke and had a contagious smile.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Updated 8 March 2022

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

Staging at the memorial chapel with a flag line for the dignified transfer. Members will provide escort of the funeral cortege to Saratoga National Cemetery for interment with military honors. Estimated KSU is 10:00 am.

Second Stage - Special Information:

Note that there is a new staging protocol for Saratoga National Cemetery.  PGR members will stage by parking ONLY on the right side of the roadway near Section 21.  If that area is full, the overflow parking area will be on the right side of the roadway near Interment Shelter 1.  Please park as closely together as possible.  As always, you are asked to stage quietly and respectfully.  Interment services for this mission will be conducted in Interment Shelter 1.    Please click here to view a map of the designated area
