About the Mission:

The family of Mr. Rodney Clarence Littman has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in honoring Mr. Littman's service to America.

Mr. Littman passed away July 25, 2022. He was a Navy veteran, serving on the Amphibious Attack Transport - USS Monrovia during the Vietnam War era. During his service of one year and nine months, Mr. Littman achieved the rank of Seaman (E-3) and spent one year and six months at sea. Mr. Littman's Naval Occupation Code is 911, Water Transport.

Seaman Littman was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Cold War Commemorative Medal, and Honorable Discharge Commemorative Medal.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Updated 8 March 2022

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

Stage at the Lake Avenue entrance to Holy Sepulchre at 10:45 a.m..  Establish a flag line at the entrance at about 11:00 a.m. for the arrival of the family.  The family is arriving in a private car with Mr. Littman's ashes at approximately 11:15 a.m.. Some PGR members will go ahead to the gravesite to set up a flag line there for the arrival of the cortege.  Some PGR members will escort the family to the gravesite.  Military honors will be conducted graveside beginning at approximately 11:30 a.m.

Large bike flags are welcome for the procession from the gate to the gravesite.  Please come prepared with your clean US or US Navy flag.  Please dress for the weather. Current forecast is for high 80s and small chance of rain.  Bring your own water.
