About the Mission:

The family of Lee Andrew Hare of Corfu, NY has requested PGRNY participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Hare passed away on 12 September 2022.

Mr. Hare served our nation for almost 3 years on active duty in the US Marine Corps from 1980-1983, with a Marine MOS of 1371-Combat Engineer. He had 9 months of foreign/sea service, including Beirut, Lebanon and Cuba. Mr. Hare's final duty assignment was with the 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, Fleet Marine Force at Camp Lejeune, NC. He was honorably discharged from active duty on 30 August 1983 with the rank of Lance Corporal (E-3), and he earned the following awards:
Navy Unit Citation Ribbon; Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal; Sea Service Deployment Ribbon; Rifle Expert Badge; and Marine Corps Meritorious Mast.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Updated 8 March 2022

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

PGR will provide a respectful flag line for arrival of the family.  Following the dignified transfer, PGR will escort the very short distance to Evergreen Hill Cemetery at the intersection of Route 77 and Water Plant Road for the 11:00 AM burial with Military Honors.  Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or USMC flag, and dress for the cold weather.

Acknowledging that this is a very short notice Mission, please do your best to help honor the US marine Corps service of Lee Andrew Hare, and to support his loving family.
