About the Mission:
Patriot Guard Riders of NY has been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of George R. Nopper of Cassadaga, NY, who passed away on 20 June 2022.
Mr. Nopper served our nation for 2 years on active duty in the US Army from 1964-1966, with an MOS of 64A10-Light Vehicle Driver. He was assigned to the Headquarters & Headquarters Battalion, 31st Artillery Brigade (Air Defense), in Oakdale, PA. Mr. Nopper was honorably discharged from active duty on 18 May 1966 with the rank of Specialist 4th Class (E-4), and he earned the Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Army Driver's Badge.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
PGR will provide a respectful flag line for arrival of the family, and during the calling hours from 8:00-9:15 AM.
Following the calling hours and dignified transfer, PGR will provide an escort (approx 4 miles) to St. Joseph Church, 145 E Main St, Fredonia, NY 14063 for the funeral service at 10:00AM. Military & PGR Honors will be rendered at the church.

Following the service and dignified transfer, PGR will provide an escort (approx. 9 miles) to Cassadaga Cemetery, Cassadaga-Stockton Road, Village of Cassadaga, NY 14718 for burial. (Cemetery is located across from the Cassadaga American Legion Post #1280.)
