About the Mission:

The family of Carleton Nash Myers has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Myers passed away on 16 October 2022 at the age of 96.

Mr. Myers served our nation for a total of 6 years in the US Marine Corps and Marine Corps Reserve from 1944-1950, including 2 years and 3 months of active duty from
1944-1946. His MOSs were 746-Automatic Rifleman and 0311-Infantryman, and he achieved the rank of Sergeant at the time of his honorable discharge on 2 November 1950. According to his son, Mr. Myers had 9 months of foreign service in Japan following the end of the war, disassembling Japan's weapons. Additional military service information is pending.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

PGR will provide a respectful flag line for the arrival of the family.  The graveside service with military honors is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM.  There is no escort involved in this Mission.  Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or USMC flag, and dress for the weather.
